City
Hall Weddings
Welcome to the Toronto Civic Wedding Chambers.
Marriages are performed at Toronto City Hall Wedding Chambers by
appointment only. Please arrange your appointment in advance.
Our Marriage Officiants are licenced to perform marriage ceremonies by the
Registrar General of the Province of Ontario.
Fee
The fee for the ceremony, the Marriage Officiant, the Chamber and music, is Cdn.$195.00 plus $25.35 HST (effective for any weddings from July 1, 2010 and onward) for a total of $220.35.
We require a Cdn.$110.35 deposit at the time of
booking to reserve your spot, or within three days following. The
Cdn.$110.35 deposit is non-refundable. However, if
you notify us 48 hours in advance, you may make one change to the
date and time for up to a year from the original date of booking.
On Your Wedding Day
You must bring the following:
1. A valid marriage licence
2. Two witnesses
3. The balance of Cdn.$110.00 in cash ONLY
The chambers seats 15 people
and there is standing room for approximately 15 others. The couple
and two witnesses stand during the ceremony. Friends and family
are welcome!
Ceremonies are performed every half hour. We ask you to arrive
at the Chambers ten minutes early.
Parties who arrive late will be accommodated at our discretion.
Please feel free to expand your vows or include speical readings in your ceremony.
Pictures and/or video may be taken during the ceremony. Pictures
may also be taken in the first floor lobby of City Hall or in Nathan
Phillips Square .

Fresh flower arrangements inside the Wedding Chamber are provided by Antique Rose. Bridal bouquets can be ordered from them at 416-863-6265.
Directly following the ceremony, you will receive a "Record
of Solemnization of Marriage" from the Officiant. Your licence will be mailed immediately to the
Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay for registration.
Approximately eight weeks after the wedding date, you may wish
to apply for a formal Certificate of Marriage from the Registrar General
of Ontario in Thunder Bay. The application form and fee schedule
were included with the information you received when you purchased
your marriage licence. If you do not have the Marriage Certificate
Application Form, you may pick it up from any marriage licence office or from the Toronto
Office of the Registrar General at 777 Bay Street/College Street (Tel: 416.325.8305)
